Ministries
Our Lady Queen of Peace is a prayerful, energetic and vibrant parish
continually aware of and thankful for the many blessings the Lord has
bestowed upon us.
Our response to these many blessings is a spirit of stewardship - a desire
to return to God a portion of the time, talents and treasure that He has
allowed us to use - that guides our everyday lives.
In keeping with Jesus' revelation that whatever we do for the least among
us, we do for Him (Matt 25:40), the family of Our Lady Queen of Peace have
developed a variety of ways by which we can serve others. This booklet is
designed to illustrate some of those ways.
As you study our ministry list, I ask you to prayerfully consider how the
Lord may be calling you to serve Him and others.
May God continue to bless you and guide you in His ways.

In bringing their children to the Church for baptism, parents share with
their children the gift of faith and the gift of a community of faith. This
tiny new life, that expresses the love people share, is drawn into the life
of the Catholic faith community. Baptism calls all our parishioners to share
faith with your child. Thus, we share this sacrament of initiation in the
midst of the community. We ask parents to take time to renew their faith and
their commitment to the Church by attending baptism preparations sessions.

Lifelong Mystagogia
A ministry directed at ALL Catholics, it is intended to encourage fellow
Catholics to understand how they are called to participate in the continuing
mission of our Lord, Jesus Christ in this world, at this particular time in
history, to be the People of God as members of the Mystical Body of Christ.
We listen, read and discuss what it means to be Catholic Christians and how
important each individual is in this mission. We become practical, active
“mystics” in the Mystical Body of Christ. This means not seeking some rare,
personal supernatural experience of God, but to accept the fact that we are
invited to share, as community, in the mystery of God and Jesus Christ to
promote the Kingdom of God on earth. We find that when we do this, we also
grow, spiritually, in our personal relationship with the Triune God. This
ministry goes on and on as God continues to reveal to us deeper and more
profound understandings of His Life with us in the Holy Catholic Church.
Opportunities for service:
Volunteers are needed who wish to assume a leadership role in this ministry.
